intestinal parasitic worms in humans?

ok, i recently heard about all the different types of worms that have been known to live in humans. it weirds me out to be honest and i don’t know that i have worms but to be sure i was thinking of trying a product to cleanse the digestive system. ive done some research and from what i see the only products available without a prescription are "natural cleansers". im not much of a believer in a lot of natural remedies, so any suggestions to a product that actually works would be much appreciated.

How do I cleanse my colon?

I am 17 years old, I have been having digestive problem over the past year. I don’t have a bowel movement after 1 pm, and the size of my stool decrease in size after a bowel movement. No pain, No inflammation. Its very difficult for me to have a bowel movement after the morning. Before all this, i had a bowel movement after eating. My digestive system was great , but not now. I consume a lot of fiber all the days. About 25-30 grams of fiber with some organic food in the day. I want to cleanse my colon for then my digestive system can return to normal function. I went to my doctor and she told me that i was ok, my digestive system is not good. But this is not the case. I tried Activia, it didn’t work for me, but i just liked the taste. I do try i can do a flush out with fruits and vegetable because i’ll lose weigh easily because i play soccer. I’m 5,7 about 130-135 pounds. I have been thinking of a natural colon cleanse supplement. But i don’t know with one. Does anybody know of a good colon cleanse? Is it a laxative? Or is there anyway to cleanse my colon? Not a week diet because i tried it and it didn’t try, it only made my weigh drop dramatically.

If you bowel one time a day, its not ok, before this year all my life, i had 3 bowel movements a eat after eating. That means its ok.

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It’s not as easy as you think. It’s important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let’s say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

I was in India last year and my digestive system has been out of wack ever since. I don’t have a parasite or infection or anything. I am hoping that doing a cleanse will let my body get back on track. If you have ever done the Master Cleans and have any information I would appreciate it!

I am now 26 years old and ever since middle school my bowel movements has been once or twice a week and sometimes once every two weeks. I think this is causing me to not be able to lose weight, Im always tired and have no energy. I am also always in a bad mood and don’t know why. Hi, I’ve been having some digestive problems going on for a while, I’ve been to a few doctor’s but they clearly don’t know what my problem is, and I couldn’t afford the cost accumulated from their random testing, so I’m trying to work it out on my own.

My problem is a mixture of things, mainly, I have constipation… my stools tend to be dry and hard to push out (although I drink plenty of water), and more disturbing is that many foods aren’t being broken down in my system. So far the list is Carrots, Walnuts, Pistachios, Avocados, Celery as well as other things, mainly nuts and vegetables but I also get weak and drowsy after eating meat, so I am assuming that I don’t break that down well either, even grains and legumes that are high in fiber and protein make me drowsy (rice, kidney beans, lentils, etc.), I also have a swollen tongue (with teeth indentations on the sides) and it often has a white coating, and my appetite has been very low.

When I WAS going to the doctor they ruled out a few things, they ruled out colitis, anemia, lactose and gluten intolerance, and they also did a colonoscopy/endoscopy and took some biopsies which ruled out the possibility of any blockage or structural problem as well as H. Pylori and other bacteria.

So right now I’m doing a variation of the master cleanse along with RX grade digestive enzymes to break down whatever may be stuck inside me, and enemas to try to flush it all out, but as far as what my actual problem is, I have no idea. It could be a problem with my pancreas, or a low stomach acidity.

I mainly just want to hear your ideas as to things to try, either directly for my problem or for additional cleansing help before I go back to solid food. All ideas are welcome and desired.

ever since i started bodybuilding, i have been feeling VERY bloated, to the point where i cant even walk. I think the cause of my bloated feeling is protein consumption. I cannot give up protein though, becuz i need it to grow(muscle). And also ( at leats i think so…) becuz of the excess proetin, i am somtimes constipated and sumtimes i have diarehha. I think my digestive system is geeting affected by he protein.
So i was wondering if colon cleansing products work, stuff like dual action colon cleanse or any other colon cleaning products would help me. The colon cleaning products are suppose to remove excess protein, therefore get rid of the bloat. But i heard olon cleaning products are bad for ppl. WHy is that? I really ned sumthing to get rid of the bloat…

I am currently doing research about Black Seeds. It is also known as Black Coriander or Black Caraway seeds. It is know that Black Seeds can cure/treat many medical ailments.

Well in my Biology class, we were learning about adaptation, and an example is the AIDS virus. When ever this one perosn took the medication, it seemed that somehow the virus would adapt to it. Well since I have heard of Black Seed, and I have done some research, I was wondering if it can treat HIV/AIDS. Anyone tried a two day fast?

I’m about to start the slim in 6 program and they suggest doing a two day cleanse before starting to reset your digestive system. I can’t afford their shakes and I don’t have a juice processor for a juice fast. They suggested doing a tea fast instead. This is more practical for me because I work at a loose leaf tea store and get free tea. I also have protein shakes. Should I stay away from the protein shakes for the two days and just have tea and water? or should I have the shakes? I’ve heard different things about fasting. Some say you should have protein, others say you shouldn’t. I’d just really like to know which would be the best way.

I started taking 3 diet pills. one of the is a colon cleanse. the others just support fat loss. But I’ve been on the colon cleanse and its made me feel worse. Is it safe to take the 14 day Acai Berry Cleanse while taking Metformin?

I am not on metformin for diabetes or anything…its more of the opposite (to help with insulin resistance and lower DHEAS in my system which may be causing PCOS). I currently take 1,000 mg 2x/day.

I bought this 14 day Acai Berry Cleanse over the counter at Walmart. It’s one of those things that is supposed to help get rid of the extra "sludge" in your digestive system and colon. It is all natural. I’ve tried the detox foot pads, and they make me feel good, but they don’t remove everything from your system. I am hoping to take these cleansing pills to feel better and less sluggish and bloated.

I have heard great things about these things…is it safe to take it with Metformin? (I also take allergy medicine and Lovaza, but it shouldn’t cause any problems- its only a high dose fish oil).

HELP, I am Tired of This…Sick, Blood in Stool?

Ok, as of this week I started to get nausious and have spastic sharp pains all over my stomach. I had this a month ago and docs said I had a messed up digestive system from a cleanse and that I was backed up. They said to eat right, drink lots of water and make sure I am using the restroom. As of this week most of the symptoms of returned. I noticed I wasn’t using the restroom as frequently. When I went this morning I looked at it and I had dark tarry stool… and some mucos. I looked it up and read this can be caused from a few possibilities. I went to my doc. He examined me and took 2 blood tests. He said he thinks I am still impacted and my liver test and test to see if I was anemic came back normal. So he said to take a laxative for a month and if I am still not better and still have dark stool with the possibility of blood, he wants to do an xray. He didn’t mention any other possibilities but just that our next step is xray. I had na xray 2 wks ago that showed gas pockets but that was it. He wants a new one. I am confused and stressed out and tired of not feeling well. My other MD in the same office recommended taking acidophilus to keep the body balanced. I’m hoping a doctor or nurse is on here that can give me some advice. The stool is like dark green and tarry with a little bit of mucos and it appears to have blood in the mucos. It is not excessive though. I am only going a little here and a little here but just got a laxative to start taking. I have no horrible stomache pains… just some nausia, minor aches all over and the stool color. Any ideas out there? Thanks for your help.

I have been on the master cleanse for 4 days and was aiming for 5 plus 3 days of easing out. You are supposed to do it for 10 but that’s not possible for me right now so I settled with 5. Last night I burned my finger and got a 2nd degree burn covering my entire finger that was very painful. In a panic to just take a pain reliever I ate piece of whole wheat toast and a couple saltine crackers so that I could take pain killers without getting sick.
I feel like I messed with my digestive system, and now am I supposed to just drink orange juice all day? I feel like I need something more……any advice??

Below is a pre-fasting diet which will helps cleanse the body from toxins, but stimulates metabolism of your body. You will probably lose seven to twelve pounds in one week, depending on your present body weight.

6 large green onions, (scallions – but we used regular onions), 2 green peppers, 1 or 2 large cans of tomatoes, 1 bunch of celery, 1 large head of cabbage, 1 pkg of Lipton Onion Soup Mix.

Season with salt, pepper, curry, parsley, etc., if desired, or 6 bouillon cubes. (Note: Half of this recipe was made and used according to following instructions by two people for four days. We kept it continually hot in a crock pot.) Cut vegetables in small to medium pieces and cover with water. Boil fast for ten minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue cooking until vegetables are tender. This can be eaten anytime you are hungry. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want at any time of the day. This soup will not add calories; the more you eat, the more you lose. If eaten alone for indefinite periods, you would suffer malnutrition. Fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during day.

Day One. All fruits except bananas. Your first day should consist of all the fruit you want, except bananas. Cantaloupes and watermelons are lower in calories than most fruits. Eat only your soup and fruits the first day. For drinks – unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, or water.

Day Two. All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with all the fresh, raw, or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat green, leafy vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner time on this day, reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Eat all the soup you want this day, but don’t eat fruits.

Day Three. Mix day one and day two. Eat all the soup, fruit, and vegetables you want. You CAN’T have a baked potato this day.

Day Four. Bananas and skimmed milk. Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skimmed milk as you can on this day along with your soup. Bananas are high in calories and so is the milk, but on this particular day of our diet your body will need the potassium and the carbohydrates, proteins and calcium to lessen your craving for sweets.

Day Five. Beef and tomatoes (or salad). You may have 10-20 ounces this day. Try to drink as many as 6-8 glasses of water this day to wash away the uric acid in your body. Eat your soup at least once this day.

Day Six. Beef and veggies. Eat to your heart’s content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have two or three steaks if you like with green, leafy vegetables but no baked potatoes. Be sure to eat soup at least once this day.

Day Seven. Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables. Again, stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat soup at least once today.

Is salt good or bad?
Biologically speaking, salt (sodium) plays a major role in human health. It not only feeds nutritional mineral elements to our cells, it also dissolves, sanitizes and cleanses toxic wastes from our system. It is this latter function that makes salt such a healing substance. All classic biology textbooks refer to salt as the cleanser of bodily fluids.
Most physiological and biological processes function correctly only when sufficient quantities of sodium are present. For example, the body makes hydrochloric acid from salt. (Hydrochloric acid is one of our essential digestive fluids.) In a healthy person, the quantity of salt retained in the tissues remains constant. Any excess sodium ingested is automatically eliminated through the kidneys. However, if disease is present, this elimination of excess salt is impaired, and excess salt deposits are created; or sudden loss if internal salt can occur.

When stress or infection demand an extra supply of salt, our body reserves are used. Addison’s disease, pylorus blockage, ulcers and gastric cancers can create a critical loss of chloride ions and lower the sodium chloride in the digestive system causing a shortage of hydrochloric acid in gastric juices. These losses of chlorine and sodium inhibit the cell’s self-cleansing function resulting in the blood becoming loaded with toxins. This, in turn, can act on the nervous system and create a chain reaction of new losses of sodium chloride, which in extreme cases can be fatal.

Salt is also responsible for the balance of acids and bases within the body. When salt enters the body it dissolves into ions (also called electrolytes because they carry electrical current). With this in mind, the water balance role of salt may be easier to understand. Water is a necessary part of all body cells but cells have no way to hold onto water molecules directly. They can only move ions around and water will follow ions. So the cells direct where the ions go, the water follows and this determines where the fluids go.

To truly understand the function of salt, we need to look to the sea, witness the high level of health of its creatures and compare its composition to that of human body fluids.
Dehydrated sea water contains over 80 elements, most required for the maintenance of the human body. While all salt originates from the sea, refined table salt and almost all sea salts sold in health food stores have none of these elements left. Even in the "natural" salts, refining, washing, boiling or kiln drying has stripped away almost all traces of these minerals. That’s why it is white and dry.

Any untreated, natural, whole salt will stubbornly hold on to part of its original water unless kiln or vacuum-pan dried. Golden Seal?

I read up on golden seal and i see that it "cleanses and promotes healthy glandular functions by increasing bile flow and digestive enzymes". Is that good for cleaning out your system and produce clean urine for urine tests for smokin mairjuana? Just curious.

Horrible fast food binge…Help!?

I gave up fast food a good while ago and have lost about 40 pounds and was only 10 pounds away from my goal weight. My family has been on vacation for the last two weeks. I had planned to be extra-healthy while they were gone since they wouldn't be here to bring food that would tempt me home. Instead, I completely fell off the heath wagon and have been pigging out on fast food for the last two weeks and have gained about 7 pounds. Now I feel horrible and I can feel my digestive system acting up. :(

What can I eat or do to lessen the damage I've done? I took a laxative to help me get rid of all the junk in my system. Should I do a fast or take more laxatives to help me cleanse? I just feel awful! I'd appreciate any advice! :)
