Colon Cleanse Reviews

I’ve heard that you should do a colon cleanse 1-2 times per year. About 3-4 years ago the doctor told me I had IBS with constipation, he wanted me to take this powder that was spendy and didn’t do anything. I stopped taking it and just accepted that I was constipated all the time. I would be in extreme pain from it. Well about 7 months ago they found cancer in my dad’s colon. They think they got it all and he has been through chemo. That’s when I realized how important it is that I do something about my IBS and that it wasn’t healthy to be sooo backed up. I started to treat it myself. Eating Fiber One bars, drinking extra water, eating lots more fruit and just eating better in general. This has gotten me to be regular. My thing is if normal people have toxins in their colon and body then I know I have A LOT. If I could go back I wouldn’t have let my IBS get so out of control. Does anybody have any recommendations on Colon Cleanse pills. I’ve been googling it for a few weeks and my head is spinning with all the products and reviews out there!

Ok these 3 pills keep showing up and im reading reviews and I’ll see a lot of good reviews and then I’ll also see negative reviews so I dont know. For one I dont have a big appetite in the first place so if its only gonna reduce my appetite that doesnt help but I will be back on my 1200cal when I start taking this (haha its the holidays im waiting til after the holiday to start up eating right again its just asking for failure to start the day b4 christmas with all the good food out there but anyways yea) I will also be working out but it would help if it gave me the energy to workout and also had some fat burning things to speed metabolism and curve cravings (cuz I crave carbs and sweets like crazy but what can I say im a 16yr old female). I know diet pills are useless if u sit on ur butt all day and expect them to work I want them to accompany my diet and excercise and hopefully help me to stay on track. More along the lines of clinicallix cuz I heard phentermine d only works for a few weeks and is highly addictive. As for lipfuze havn’t looked into reviews but on so many sites its in the tops.So anyone tried phentermine d, clinicallix or lipofuze? I DONT WANT ANY SPAMBOTS things telling me about acai or a colon cleanse I want a real testimonial from real people. Thx

Suggest a colon cleanse product.?

I have to take pain killers for back pain, and that has done some damage to my body. But I have read into colon cleaning and the benefits it can have. But I want a product that does not require constant use, maybe a once a month/year type thing. Anyone have suggestions, reviews, personal experience that could help?

Can teens use Colon Cleansers?

Im 16, and I want to lose weight. I know how harsh diet pills can be. I have no patience for exercise and cant stick to diets. I saw a review on the Colon Cleanse Pro, am i able to use it? Does it have harsh side effects, and what are they?
I don’t plan on wanting to lose a lot. Im not really fat. I just want to lose around 15- 20 lbs. will colon cleansers help?

I have never been impressed by all this clean colon crap, but a friend of mine mentioned she did it and she lost about 5 pounds. I am now interested in knowing if anyone has any reviews or suggestions on any colon cleanse systems. Anyone tried one and had good results?

Does Acai X3 work for you?

today is my first day taking this "berry super fruit" Acai X3, and i must say, like other diet pills i have tried, i do feel a little jittery, although i feel like i have more energy. i am doing a colon cleanse simultaniously with the acai x3. the reviews i have read said, "the the average weight loss was 10lbs in the first month" with acai x3 alone. but the reviews that ive read where there was significant weight loss was with a colon cleanse and acai x3. so im just wondering what are your opinions, and results with acai x3? does it work for you?

What is the best colon cleanse?

I want to try a colon cleanse and have been browsing through the different kinds and reading a lot of reviews, a lot of them look good. But there are soo many to choose from! I want to get one that will help me with gas and bloating and help me become regular.
Does any have some that they’ve used or have heard good things of personally? If so can you tell me how long it takes to start noticing a difference and if the prices are worth it.

Thanks

Has anyone tried Evercleanse?

Ok, I got this stuff called evercleanse and I have been on website, read every single word on package, and even read reviews and still do not know if I am supposed to take the 3 products in box all together or do 10 days of each resulting in a month. Such as the "cleansing formula" for first 10 days, "Replenish" for next 10 days, and "Colon Health Formula" for next 10 days resulting in a month. All it basically says is once the cleansing formula has began to remove accumulated waste and bad bacteria, the replenishing formula basically replaces the good bacteria that you need. So do you take the cleanse for 10 days and then move on to "replenish" or what??? I mean it just says once it begins, how do I know when it begins? All I know is each "step" has enough to last for 10 days. I mean this stuff doesn't even say anywhere how long it is to last, even that would help!!!!!! If it was a 30 day program/supply or a 10, I would then know. But then again it says that all of the steps should be taken indefinately!!! This is really confusing…

Clogged digestive system?

So heres a little background… I realized I probably have a problem with Candida (yeast) overgrowth due to antiobiotic use a while back, sinus infections, and a diet full of dairy, meat, and processed foods instead of fruits and vegetables (and low fiber).

Before I started any type of treatment for this, my “stools” were irregular, maybe 2 times in 3 days, and I would often either be constipated or have really loose, smelly diahrrea (sorry).

I first started on the Candida Diet and only ate berries, meat, vegetables, and everything else in extreme moderation (except for some alcohol on the weekends). I then started using Candida Clear by NOW, its a blend of potent anti-fungal herbs which got pretty good reviews. I started taking this to help with the Candida, and thought I would also do a colon cleanse concurrently to make sure there wasnt some kind of blockage making my candida worse. I used Oxy-Powder, which uses ozone (oxygen) to cleanse the digestive system. I think my bowels might really be screwed up though, because when I took the recomended dose (4) I didnt get much results. Once I upped it to 8 pills, I got the effects I had expected but while it said to expect 3 bowel movements a day, I still only got 1 or 2. I also take Dr. Ohhira’s probiotics to help replenish the good baceria. Together, this approach led me to lose a lot of waterweight and my acne got MUCH better over a week or two.

After doing this for a while I decided to use a psyllium (fiber) based colon cleanser to see if it would work better than the oxy-powder. I am still taking Candida-fighting pills but now taking psyllium twice a day. I expected this to increase my bowel movements and maybe even pull out a few “ropes” like you see from Colonix (psyllium is the main ingredient in the system). None of this has happened – since I started taking the psyllium I have felt bloated around my midsection and clogged up. I’ve gone back to only having bowel movements of about 2 in 3 days.

Now my main question is: could the candida be why I am so clogged up? Could it be from eating too much meats? What should I do now? I just want to clear out my gut, and now I’m afraid the psyllium I thought would help is lodged in there and might not come out… what supplements could help?

Most websites you find giving positive testimonials or good reviews to cleansers seem to be set up by the manufacturers themselves. Is compacted waste a myth? I have read that when a Dr. needs a patient cleared out before a colonoscopy they’ll give you what is essentially a strong laxative and your colon will be clean as a whistle so why the need for a colon cleanser? Why isn’t there more info out there debating the merits of cleansing if it is a scam and not “Doctor recommended”? It’s hard to come by negative reviews other than sites like Amazon in the user review section.

What’s a good, healthy drink to stick with?

I’ve had a horrible journey with health & beverages. Read my story, & see if you can help.

I started my “journey” with the popular athletic drink Gatorade. It was always in my fridge & I thought it was really good for you because of all the commercials with the athletes. I was talking to my mom one day while drinking it. She babbled on while I surfed Yahoo Answers, reading her magazine & talking about the “pickle diet”. When she spotted my bottle of Gatorade, she lost her mind. She went into this speech about how she saw some big program on CNN about it. Turns out there’s piles of sodium in Gatorade, which is salt. & it was terrible for me, especially considering how much of it I drank, & had been drinking everyday. I was really upset. The commercials were complete bull. Unless of course you ran 10 miles a day. Which only like 10% of society actually does. I was furious, upset, & I determined not to let anything like this ever happen to me again.
This was right around the time Vitamin Water became really popular. I tried it just to see what all the hype was about, & it tasted really watered down, so I figured it HAD to be good for me. So after about a month of drinking it, Propel came out with those commercials about how many calories & stuff are in it, & how you’d have to run miles to work it off, which really angered me. It was Gatorade all over again! They basically lied. “Vitamins + Water = all you need.” That’s what it says on the bottle. That’s true, but you don’t need the fat bahookie you’re gonna get from all the calories in it.
From that day on, I was done with popular drinks, & everything I saw a flashy commercial for. I decided to try tea. I switched to Arizona Tea. You know, that milky sweet stuff in the cute green bottle? I drank it religiously. Surprise, there’s 51g of sugar in each bottle, & it was putting weight on me. Now I was fed up. & a little fatter. I decided to just switch to a fruit juice, since everything else was either making me fat, or lying to me. I tried grapejuice, because of the great reviews it got on colon cleansing. I forgot why my mom wouldn’t let me have it when I was a kid. It’s loaded with sugar, just like the tea. But I wasn’t about to give up on the fruit juice idea, I switched to cranberry juice, but got a stomach ache after every glass. It’s supposed to be really good for women, especially when we’re on our periods. It’s supposed to regulate our systems & help everything go smoothly. Which it does for most women, but it made my stomach hurt so bad that I felt like I had swallowed Taz from Looney Tunes.
I lost all hope on anything with well, taste. Lastly, out of desperation, I made myself drink water. Plain water couldn’t hurt me right? It’s basically like drinking nothing. Wrong. I switched to Dasani water, which I got worms from. Yes, worms. I had to take pills & everything. They told me @ the hospital to NEVER drink water again. So now I’m @ a stand still in my life. I haven’t drank anything for a week & a half. I’ve just been eating. Isn’t there ANY drink out there that I can live on without gaining weight or getting sick from? Help!

Keep in mind that I’m not trying to lose weight, just stay healthy!

Colon Cleansing Home Remedies?

I was just looking for people to suggest the best home remedies for colon cleansing to relieve chronic constipation and bloated stomach. I am not in it to loose weight, I am 6'2 190lbs, perfectly normal, and all the website I looked for only recommended some miracle product or the other (OxyPowder, Natra Pure and such).
So I was just wondering, what natural remedies are out there, and if you don't know a home remedy, and have tried a certain product, please mention that and also if a small review of how it worked for you.

Thanks

PS, I eat quite a lot of fast food, about 2 times a week, but other than that, I have a healthy diet and drink a lot of water and work out regularly.

Which at home colon cleanses actually work?

I was all set to buy this Dual Action Cleanse (very expensive) I was gonna save up and everything then I read reviews from hundreds of people saying it's horrible and they are a scam and wont stop charging your credit card and the product doesn't work at all. Even though I sat through the whole entire informercial and was convinced. I bought a colon cleanse for 10 dollars at rite aid before and it doesn't really do anything. So I'm just wondering if anyone has tried one that actually works. I am trying to lose weight and I know that it's a good thing to flush our your system because I could be carrying up to 20 pounds of you know what without knowing it. I could get rid of that overnight or so, plus it gives you more energy and I'm having to work in the sun so I need it. thanks.

I recently purchased a colon/intestinal cleansing supplement that got great reviews online. I know that you're supposed to avoid processed food and sugars while cleansing, but I've also recently read that you're supposed to avoid wheat and dairy foods as well. Is this true? Is it a must, or a word of caution? I just want to make sure that I do it right if I'm going to do it.

The supplement did not come with information on what to eat while taking it.

Are Detox/colon cleansers just a myth?

After reading detailed reviews about people taking colon cleansers and seeing various sci-fi like things come out of themselves, I’m wondering if detox is really useful or not. I once took a 7 day Cleanse program from GNC, and I felt better after using it, but I don’t know if that had more to do with my healthy diet and exercise. I saw all these pictures of intestinal goop and while most research says that the liver can do just fine detoxing the body, what about the goop? All of that stuff can’t be good in the colon, but does it present dangers to ones health to take all that fiber and who knows what else? Technically, what would that in depth, complicated colon cleanse offer that say, a dose of Metamucil couldn’t? All those reviews said they got flatter stomachs, better sleep habits, etc etc etc… What is happening here? I find myself oddly interested in a program, but I don’t want to just be in the bathroom all the time, especially at work.

Thanks!

I desperately need to drop the 50 lbs I have packed on in the past few years of nursing school. Graduation is in one week, and then my wedding is on 9/9/09. I need a good jumpstart to motivate my weight loss attempt and get my energy level up. Heard these were good, but you never can believe the reviews about diet products. Anyone have any personal experience they can share? Good or bad idea? Any tips? THANKS! :o )

I was looking for reviews on colon cleansers (seriously, no jokes, ok?) and I came across this website that showed some pictures. Is this real? Or is this a spoof/fake website? I don't think it can be real, but if anyone has had this experience….?

Thanks!

Im 19 years old and im just trying to loose 7-10 pounds of fat (im 5'5 and weigh 126lbs, iv been working out and trying to eat healthier but this weight just wont come off. Would it be safe to take the supplements for a short period of time? Im usually against substances but reviews iv read are so positive.

I saw an infommercial for a company called Blessed Herbs not too long ago. They were advertising an herbal colon cleanse that entailed mixing the herbal supplements with juice and fasting for a week, consuming nothing but the herbal mix. I found their website but it didn't have many reviews from customers who have tried it. I was wondering if anyone ever used a product from Blessed Herbs, or any herbal colon cleanse for that matter? If so, what were the benefits? Did you notice any positive changes? What were the side-effects, if any? Also, how did you feel while on the supplements and what can one expect?? Thanks in advance for sharing any and all information.

I’m overwhelmed by all the conflicting info/reviews of various products, and I’m hoping to talk to real people who have used colon cleansers. Primary concerns are safety, effectiveness, cost and integrity of company who owns.

I checked these sites for reference http://www.naturalhealingtoday.com/colon_cleanse_product_reviews.html and http://www.healthnewsreports.com/content/view/581/9/?source=google/colonix. Which site should i believe? Also i open to other products if these are not the best. If anyone could recommend a review site that is impratial that would be great too.
I understand That eating fibers is good for you like the appple answer below. But that can not cleanse stuff that has been sitting in your body for years!
