I need help. I have always been embarrassed about how much I weigh. Most of my doctors didn’t say anything about me being over weight or anything. I weigh 190 lbs and I am only 4’11 and my husband weighs the same but he is 5’6. The doctor says that i don’t have a weight problem and maybe I just have heavy bones. I wonder do anyone have this problem? I go to the gym regularly and did a colon cleanse, but I still Weight the same. During my high school years, I weigh 140lbs. I don’t understand why I weight so much when I don’t look as fat as an 200lb person. Because when I see a big person that says they weigh 200lbs. There stomach tends to be hanging to there personal part and I don’t have that but I weigh as much as them. The most lbs I could ever lose is 10lbs and every one thought I lose 50lbs and they were surprise that I lost weight but It’s only 10lbs. I don’t know what to do next. I tried eating limited portions and colon cleanse but nothing seem to be working. I really need ideas or suggestions.

I have been to one Dermatologist after another and nothing seems to help the eczema I suffer from in a great way. I mean, I want my skin to be as clear as possible on an on-going basis with treatment.
I have changed my diet, no beef, wheat or dairy. I take a multivitamin every single day. I drink plenty of water (64 oz. a day to be exact) only wear cotton clothes, do colon cleansing 2x a year, etc. etc.
My eczema just keeps hanging on. I was told by a friend to go to a Naturopathic Doctor for help. I have basically given up on Dermatologists so before I even attempt to visit a Naturopathic Doctor, does anyone know how they treat patients with eczema or what they normally prescribe for us suffers that ACTUALLY WORK???

When I had a colonoscopy after drinking the colon cleansing drinks, I purged over a 1/2 cup of SEEDS, which had been stuck in my intestines for who knows how long!!! We get no nutritional value from them, so why upset ones possible diverticulosis with these things?

I’m a woman trying to lose weight. Currently, I’m training pretty hard for a triathlon (swimming, biking, running). My weight has not gone down (I’m currently 115 lbs at 5’2). I’ve also been on a colon cleanse which I’ve recently stopped. My lower abdomen (right below belly button) is unusually distended. It’s not fat, it’s bloat and a lot of it. My stools have been rather runny lately, but when they are not, they have been difficult to come out. I’ve further read that using laxatives (which I did with the colon cleanse) can cause constipation. One of the symptoms of constipation is, ironically, diarrhea. Constipation, of course, causes bloating. I’ve also read that too many crunches and other ab work can also push up the muscle underneath the fat and cause you to look fatter. Last night, I took my last dose of the colon cleanse stuff and I also worked my abs really hard. I’m thinking this combination has left me abnormally bloated. So my question is: how do I lose the bloat?

I can guess what the answer is already but is it okay to get colon cleansing at 15 (almost 16). It seems that i have chronic constipation and no matter how much fiber or water i take, i never seem to excrete enough. What are the positive and negative effects of colon cleansing? I only plan on taking it once so i don’t become dependent. I know that your body is supposed to flush the toxins out itself but i’ve been struggling for almost a year. What should i do? Please give me an answer to my questions or a quick alternative besides eat little of vegetables and drink water and excerise because it never seemed to have much of an affect. THANKS.

I asked my doctor about colon cleansing. He says the colon is there to remove fluid from fecal matter. What I can’t get, is how removing moisture from that matter can be so important as to risk one’s life (i.e. risking colon cancer). Let’s say we all go in and have our colon’s removed. What’s the down side? moist poop? How can that be worse than hanging onto this tract of lower intestines that is often riddled with cancerous growths? I mean, we remove tonsils all the time, because they often give more trouble than they’re worth. Know what I mean? Reality check, please.

just drinking water or fasting or anything. How can I do a complete body/colon cleanse without stopping eating? Higher intake of vegetables and less meat I’d guess but how do you keep your body regular clean and smelling fresh from the inside out for good? Are there supplements to help as well? What removes toxins the best? What about bowel movements? How do you make them regular and not horrible? I wanna try detoxing but I need to eat and go to school and work two jobs.

I have been going on colon cleanses and am somewhat worried about taking in the laxatives. How many are you "allowed" to take in before it can damage your body?
i’m not doing this to loose weight! lol, it’s a health thing. I know laxatives can be harmful and I don’t want to damage my body, so i was just wondering how many I can take. many people do colon cleanses.

In addition to diet/exercise/taking vitamins, I was thinking about trying a colon cleansing regimen to improve my overall health and metabolism. I was reading about it, and from what I understand it’s pretty safe.
However, these are the questions that I cannot seem to find direct answers to that I want to hear from someone with experience.
1. How long does it take? (I realize this may vary from what kind of regimen). And it’s usually a fast, right?
2. Does the product that you take to do the cleanse… what does it make you feel like? Is it painful? Basically, am I going to be married to the toilet? Were you miserable doing this?
3. I’ve seen some pretty nasty pictures of the bi-product of this. Dumb question, but I would actually sh*t that out all at once? Does it hurt? How long from the start of the regimen does it take to get to this nasty point? And is that the end of it? Or are these pictures of what I will be depositing into the toilet every day?!
4. Was it honestly worth it? Did you feel any better? What were the short term and longer term effects? How much did you spend?
Thank you for answering my gross, but curious questions from your personal experience.

In the continuing coroner’s inquiry into the death of Penelope Dingle (who was encouraged by her husband and her homeopath not to use conventional medicine after she was diagnosed with bowel cancer, resulting in a tortuous death without painkillers), it is revealed that her homeopath recommended a ‘cruel’ enema (aka ‘colon cleanse’) that if taken would likely have split her bowl and resulted in death by massive infection, despite the enema containing relatively innocuous substances such as olive oil and soap:
"……a letter written by Mrs Dingle to Ms Scrayen (her homeopath) after her emergency surgery read: "Had I performed the enema you suggested the surgeon said it would have split my bowel and it was unlikely that I would have survived the massive infection that would have ensued."
Mrs Dingle also wrote a diary entry saying the surgeon had told her the use of those so-called lubricants "was just plain cruel"."

I’m not a colorectal surgeon so I don’t know how this would occur, but this seems like a very dangerous procedure that people shouldn’t be performing on themselves. If you use this sort of thing, or recommend it, are you aware of the risks involved? How can someone reduce the risk of such a severe injury?
Lightning: Interesting point at first but then it degenerated into a Red Herring Fallacy topped off with an Ad Hominem, quite poor.
(I’m perfectly happy with my janitorial duties, thanks for your concern).
Pog: It’s not my opinion, it’s that of the colorectal surgeon’s. That’s why I used the word ‘could’ in my question. If there are any other basic bits of English grammar you are struggling with, just let me know.
Lightning: I’m going to have to agree with Rhianna and Skep, it doesn’t matter how long the conversation goes on for, you just get stuck on a point (normally a fallacy) and can’t get over it. Personally I think it’s because you reach the end of your knowledge base. If ‘inability to continue a debate = spanner in the works’ then yes, that’s what you are.

so im on my second day of the lemonade diet and apparently i’ve lost ten pounds already? i had my mom step on the scale to make sure the scale was right because she knows exactly what her weight was and the scale was right.
but i didnt exactly go on the diet to lose weight, really just to clean out all the toxins in my body and colon because colon cancer runs in my family and its acually really healthy to clean out your colon once a year… but i lost ten pounds..in two days. not normal… i mean i know its not a big deal because its probably all water weight and will come right back but water weight is never that much weight and i read about how people usually lose 20 pounds max on the 10 day diet. but i wanted to go on it for exactly 2 weeks but if i already lost this much, will i lose a lot more staying on it for that long… now i dont know if i should stay on it for that long.
any suggestions?… a lemonade diet is an acual master cleanse so if anyone is going to tell me not to put laxatives in my lemonade then dont even comment… i want an acual suggestion on how long i should stay on it for..
and if anyone else has been on this cleanse… how much weight did you lose?

Has anyone placed an online Trial Order for an AcaiOptimum or Acai Colon Cleanse product with NTR? They claim it is a trial, but will charge your card .96 immediately. Upon receiving a call from my bank, I contacted NTR and they offered a .96 rebate, but the terms of it are that you have to place a minimum of "two" orders. I signed up for the .95 Trial, paying S&H only, but their agent insisted I ordered the rebate package and they could not issue a refund. I believe this is a scam. Who else has experienced this? Any suggestions on how to handle this and get my money back? This product is endorsed online by News6 Reporter Julia Miller.

I know it’s healthy to cleanse your colon, but how often should it be done and what do you use? Is it a good way to jump start your diet? I’m in the process of taking vitamins everyday and starting to eat healthier..I would just like to rid my body of the built up toxins, not use it as a diet…
Thanks!
For those of you that don’t believe colon cleansing is healthy, this was taken from an article:
"Your body accumulates toxins everyday. It cannot eliminate the toxins fast enough. Your colon can manage between five to twenty five pounds of waste at a time. However, your diet and lifestyle today make it harder for your colon to deal the extra load. Residue from the food waste which remain behind after the bowel movement will collect more toxins.
If you don’t get rid of the waste from your system, the toxins will remain in your colon for years which can intoxicate your body. The more toxins you have in your body, the more severe will be your sickness. Therefore, colon cleansing should become part of your regimen of detoxification."

I’ve heard that you can have up to like, 25 pounds of waste stuck to the walls of your large intestine. I’ve heard that it can lead to problems like constipation, skinny stools, unfinished stools, and other things.
If you’ve ever cleansed your colon, how did you do it?
Did you feel better?
Did it take a long time?
How much weight did you lose/did you look noticably thinner?
