Your body naturally cleanses itself, but if you are alittle stopped up i would do a fast, just a couple of days and drink plenty of juice (apple) and water with lemon and honey. Celebrities do it all the time but they call it detox, it’s good to do about once a quarter especially if you are not "regular"
Do not do this at work. It can take several hours, and can be rather messy.
DON"T DO IT. Colon "cleansing" is totally unnecessary – the colon is designed to clean itself, and you can absolutely hurt yourself trying to "cleanse" it. Contrary to popular belief, things (red meat, etc) do not get stuck in your colon. I see the insides of colons every day in surgery, and there’s nothing stuck in there. And the more you try to circumvent nature, the more your bowels will not work properly.
If you’re not having normal bowel movements, talk with your doctor to make sure there’s not some physiological reason for your difficulty. If there’s not, just let time and nature take it’s course. Also, try to eat a diet high in fiber, and with fresh vegetables and fruits. Everyone is different – there is no normal frequency or consistency.
Your body is designed to take care of itself. Let it be.
Good luck
WEll, from what I have read, It is a good thing to do once in a while like every year or so. I know that it won’t be something you’ll want to deal with while at work. That is a definate NO-NO. Look up what will happen and the things that are expected to exit your colon. Not a pretty site. Keep a plunger next to your comode, and follow all directions. Your body can hold onto many of the toxins we ingest every day this is a great way to clear the colon to allow it to absorb the correct nutrients and as much of them as possible. Good luck, and don’t let you significant other stay over for a few dyas… HE HE!!!
Set yourself a few hours to do this perhaps in the morning when you have a day off as to make sure everything expels correctly without interrupting any tasks you would like to complete during the day.
It may take a little while for you to expel your bowels during a colon cleaning, and it is best that you try and create more to expel, so try to fast before you do this.
Basically colon cleansers contain fibers that try to pull everything out of you. You should definitely drink plenty of water, but not too much because you will be removing many of the necessary components in your colon as well and you don’t want to wear yourself thin.
When everything is complete try and keep yourself hydrated and nourished.
