Acai Berry/Colon Cleanse Diet?

Has anyone out there tried the acai berry & colon cleanse diet? I’m not talking about the FREE TRIAL offer you can get online or ANYTHING you have to order (and possibly get scammed with). I’m talking about, has anyone ever walked in to their local GNC or other health & nutrition stores and purchased some colon cleanse pills and acai berry extract juice and tried it to see if you’d lose weight? Did it work?

I was considering buying this 32 ounce bottle of acai berry juice that I saw at GNC and combining it with a colon cleanser I saw there. The problem is, the juice is around .00 and that’s pretty steep for me. I’d do it in a second if I honestly thought it would really work. There’s GOT TO BE someone out there who has tried doing this yourselves. I’m desperate for some serious weight loss help.

im in a competition with some of my family members to lose the most weight by christmas. the winner gets 0—-and i REALLY want to win it b/c im saving up for a new car. there arent any rules, so we can use pills, or even go to extremes and have surgery for it. lol. but i heard that the acai berry/colon cleanse thing works, but i wanna make sure……so does it?
and i already am eating less and dieting more….but i just want to know if it actually works

i am going to go on the slim fast diet and was just wondering, would it be easier to just have a banana smoothie for breakfast and lunch?? (1 banana blended with 1 cup milk) And if i do have the shakes do i have to have it for breakfast and lunch, can i just have it for breakfast or something?

and if so, what kind? I’m hearing a lot about acai berry supplements too. I would never order them online so don’t reply with a post about the scams. I already know.

I answer health questions here sometimes. I like to be helpful. It started when my daughter sent me a question where someone had given truly dangerous advice. It worried me – I’m not just a doctor, I’m a mom, and I truly care about others. I spent many years in school and a whole lot of money so I could help people. And sometimes if I’m online I poke my head into Yahoo Answers and answer a few questions.

I give real medical advice and truly try to be helpful – and I’m surprised when I get a “thumbs down” vote and someone recommending acai berry gets 2 or 3 “thumbs up” votes. It would be funny if it weren’t sometimes scary – if it sounds like asthma or diabetes, it is quite dangerous. I worry a little – is the asker going to see a doctor?

I always try to be helpful and kind – and I tell myself the poster probably has enough sense to check with a doctor. But I have to admit – if I’m sitting here thinking “that might be cancer” and I urge the person to see a doctor… and someone recommending a colon cleansing is voted as “best answer” by the asker, I feel like I did a poor job answering. I’ve seen other doctors here and noticed the same thing – sometimes real medical advice is rejected… sometimes with numerous “thumbs down” votes.

Just curious – any ideas about this?

How to lose 24 pounds in 20 weeks?

heyy:D okay, imma 13 years old, and in 20 weeks, im going on holiday to florida. I have a HUGE belly. It looks like im preg :/ I wanna wear a bikini for once in my life. I go to school, and have badminton for 50 mins every monday, 45 mins of kickboxing every wednesday & friday, and double P.E [aerobits.. netball etc] every friday. I need a detailed exersize plan. Im on the weightwatchers diet atm, I know some people will say ‘just eat healthy and exersize’ but I really need details. 24 pounds in 20 weeks and I have to achieve it. Please give me exersize details and asmuch other info as possible to lose weight. I have a friend that weighs 195 and she only 5’2. She asked me if "Acai Berry/ Colon Cleanse" really work. I told her i didn’t know and that i was find out for her. She and i have read everything off the inernet.

Acai Berry, Colon Cleanse, and all that crap is not something that I will use.

So, I’m 14, 5’3, and 135 lbs. I want to lose about 20 lbs, I have small bones so 115 would be good for me. Tips?

I know the usual drink water, exercise, and eat healthy, but please, details?

Im a girl, im 14 years old. Im 5’3 and 140 Pounds. I have 31.5 percent body fat. i wear a size 6 or 7 pants depending on the brand.

If I do this for 2 and 1/2 months, will i see results..?

Diet: 1300 Calories or less a day. Diet made up mostly of fruits, veggies, fish, and nuts. 8 glasses of water a day.

Exercise: Run 1 Mile a day or for 30 minutes, & jillian michaels 30 Day Shred workout video.
&& crunches, situps, leg raises, & a bunch of other ab workouts.

Will this work in 2 and 1/2 months? and How dramatic will the results be, & how long do you think it will be until I see results..?

Ok, so Im almost 19 years old, and a bit on the chubby side. I am taking a fitness class in college but I still don’t feel like I have lost any weight, which I guess is understandable because we only have class 2 times a week. Also my stomach is weird because I get full really fast and I get bloated quickly and I build up a lot of gas, and have to use the restroom constantly. Also I get hungry again a little while after eating. I was reading this web page and I came across this web page that talked about doing the Acai Berry Diet with a colon cleansing product, and it sounds great, so i just want to know if it really works. I know that there is no such thing as a miracle pill that makes you loss weight without work, but I want to know if these pills work well and do not harm your body, because I don’t want to take something that will be bad for me.

Hey there. Well, I’ve been trying to lose weight in the summer, and so far I’ve lost 10 pounds. I’m 13, 5"6, and I weigh 73 kg. (roughly 167 lbs) Btw, most of the weight is muscle, but I still have got a bit of a tummy and thunder thighs. I was 80kg when I started, and lost roughly 10 lbs. I’ve been exercising and dieting. This is my schedule:

Monday: Aerobics from 7-8, Gym from 8-9, Sauna.
Tuesday: Volleyball from 6-7
Wednesday: Aerobics from 7-8, Gym from 8-9
Thursday: Aerobics from 6-7
Friday: Day off
Saturday: Volleyball from 6-7, Aerobics from 7-8, Gym from 8-9, Sauna.
Sunday: Day off

So, I exercise okay. I’m not really following a diet, but more like eating healthy and cutting out sweets, chips, junk food, etc. because I’m still growing. Just occasionally a cookie.
But a while a go, maybe 3 weeks ago, I stopped losing weight completely.
I’m just STUCK at 73 lbs.
I don’t think my body is toning very much either, though it has certainly changed a bit. Also, I’m always really hungry at night, around 10pm-2am. I don’t know why. I’m not hungry for the better part of the day then BAM I feel starving.
So my 3 questions are: Why have I stopped losing weight, why am I always hungry at night, and and diet or exercise tips if I can get them. Please help you guys, summer has been 3 months and I’ve only got a month left, I don’t think I’ll be able to exercise so much when school starts due to homework and studying.

And please no Acai Berry or colon cleanse stuff. It is annoying.

Ive recently bought the acai berry diet pill and colon cleanse/Ive unfortunately havent had any results.I’m starting to think it’s because i have to open up the capsule and empty it into water?.Or do i continue swallowing the capsules with water.But the capsules are plastic looking so im not sure if that’s safe.And is it supposed to have a pretty bad taste and kind of look like a dirt color in the water when you empty it into it.

Right now I’m 13 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and I weigh 145 lbs. I want to loose weight to be 120-125, as soon as possible without becoming anorexic or anything like that. I have tried like, colon cleanse and acai berry stuff but none of them seem to work. I am eating lots of fruits and vegetables, and excersising in all the spare time I have. I am hard working, and I havent watched TV in months. I also drink a lot and drink green tea every night.
I think about trying to loose weight pretty much 24/7. Now that I think about it, my horrible self image has taken control over all of my thoughts. I call my self "the chunk" all the time. I am muscular, though. Ive beeten high school boys in arm wrestling contests and my sister calls me "The manly chick" All of my friends are super slim, so I dont want themcall me "the fat one" or anything.
I don’t like my body. I cry a lot. To make myself feel better I excersise more, but then that reminds me of all the fat I have to loose. I havent gone to a doctor to get my yearly physical in years, because I am afraid of stepping on a scale in front of them and then them giving me a whole lecture about "you need to loose weight" blah blah blah.

If anyone out there reading this can help me, anything would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, yea, Im 13 so I cant like spend money because my mom doesnt drive me to stores and Im too young to have a credit card. My mom doesnt want anything put on her credit card.

My son is almost 14 years of age, and he’s been bugging me about the use of all these popular Acai Berry/Colon Cleanse trials on the internet. He says thousands of people have tried and recommend these supplements for weight loss.

Now don’t get me wrong, he’s a healthy, 5’8, 140 pound, active kid. He’s trying to get ‘ripped’ this summer, and by the looks of his practice schedules, he’s going to. He swims on a club swim team, on what could be considered an almost professional level, for 22+ hours a week, not including the 4-8 hours he runs/exercises on his own time a week. So in total, his total weekly exercise time is about 25-30 hours.

Now, I’ve always been sketchy about internet offers. Not only do all the blogs have adult testers of this product, I’ve always been a big conspirator against offers period, (pay them money, they’ll say whatever you like). So tell me, Internet, if possible, should my son use these offers, and if so, what i s the best place ot receive them from?

Does it matter which acai berry and which colon clease product you take? if I goto GNC and buy random acai berry product and a random colon cleanse, and take them together, will it still have the same desired effect as the commonly recommended ones?

I am a terrible teenage binge eater. I binge at least 4 times a week, unintentionally, and it has caused me a 30 pound weight gain (which has obviously affected my confidence). I am always hungry, and when I’m not hungry, I feel like "oh, what’s the use. I already ate too much today so I might as well binge…" It’s a terrible, embarassing habit that no one seems to understand because it is a disorder of the mind. I have an emotional attatchment to food. I NEED HELP!!!

This problem has to stop. I can’t fit into any of my clothes and feel self-conscious in a bathing suit. I exercise, too, so that isn’t the reason I’m binging. Every single frickin day, I get home from school without the intention of binging and guess what I do? I BINGE because I eat to feel better.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been on "Day One" of a "New Life". I never make it past the third day. I constantly fail at this. I fail, fail, fail!!! Why can’t I just stick it out??? There has to be a way!!! I have to get control of this problem but I am simply powerless when it comes to food!! Please, someone, anyone. I need help.

Also, when I DON’T binge, I eat very healthy. But it is counteracted by all the binging I do.

Could you help me with my weight loss, please?

I’m 5’2 and 139 – 140 pounds. Ideally, I’d like to lose 25 – 30 pounds of that and be 110 – 115 pounds (my healthy weight range is technically 104 – 131, but I want to be skinny without being unrealistic). I’m not like FAT fat, but definitely chunky. I figure skate at FS5 level 6 days a week for a total of about 8 hours a week, plus run 40 minutes a week at school, as well as do other sports in gym the other three weekdays available (it really varies…badminton, volleyball, basketball, soccer, floor hockey, just whatever the unit is). I honestly think I’m pretty fit. I’d love to be able to go to the gym or something, but can’t afford to. So I do a lot of exercise…maybe it’s my diet that’s killing me? I don’t pig out on junk food like the other kids (I USED to be able to go through bags of junk food and stay skinny, if I wanted, when I was younger, but alas, no longer…) but I definitely don’t think I eat quite healthily enough. I looked into the book "The Mayo Clinic Diet" and really want to follow there advice, but after eating only/mainly fruit and stuff like that for a few days in a row, I end up eating chocolate or something, even if I let myself have really small amounts every day throughout to try and prevent that. Is it just a diet/self discipline thing? I’d really like to be at least 120 – 125 by July, but even if it was slower than that at least I’d lose it and hopefully keep it off. I’m not so worried about getting a "bikini body" (though that’d be very nice, haha) as I am a more permanent, long-term solution. I’m already working out a ton more than most other kids my age (14). I saw in a few places that there was this "trend" I guess that people were using to lose weight, by taking an Acai berry supplement along with a Colon Cleanser thing to help flush the crap out of your body. I’m always as skeptical as you could be about "too good to be true" deals, but I saw a few stories that really made it sound credible. The link they had for the Colon Cleanse product still worked, but their link for the Acai stuff took me to a weird place that didn’t seem like the most credible place to buy it.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever used one or both of those, how good/bad did it work, and if it worked where did you get it?

i’ve been trying to lose weight for a really really long time know (about 3 years) and nothing seems to work. i’m not expecting to lose 40 lbs in 10 days, although that would be nice, and they have a free trial for the acai berry and colon cleanse things that expires tomorrow so i thought that i might try it because the reviews all seem good. ai still am going to run 10-12 miles a day and do my other workout and eat healthy like i do know but since nothing seems to be working to help me lose weight and i really do i think i’m going to try this. but i was wondering has anybody done it? how did it work for you? also is their a special time i should start this like when i have a few days off from school?
i really am not accepcting to lose 40 lbs in 10 days i know thats unrealistic. but i have tried working out and eating right for the past 3 years, i even went on weight watchers last year when i was 14 for months and all i lost was 10 pounds.
trust me i don’t eat to much. i only eat one meal a day and have either diet coke for lunch, nothing, or carrots. i know soda isnt good so i’m trying to cut back on that
