Who has tried Master Cleanse?

ive done lots of looking around on the internet. i read a lot of stories, and looked at results. i’m pretty sure i know that the weight loss is due to severe caloric restriction. Still, i’d like to try it just to get some pounds off and jumpstart healthier eating. I gained 20lbs over the past year due to hormones from BC. i’ve gotten rid of the hormones, and i’m excited to try to get my weight back down to where it used to be, and to start to feel healthier.

Ideas for helping my Master Cleanse:

I think i would try taking Hoodia pills to cut the hunger

I wonder if i can try using some chicken or vegetable flavoring (bouillon) to add to the Salt water wash–i think it would make it more palatable.

I want to add flaxseed to the lemonade to add some fiber, which also acts as a laxative and i think it would help clean out my colon

i think i’m only willing to try this for 7 days, instead of the 10 that most people do.

also, one more question: if i have to work in the morning, how can i get around the effects of the saltwater/laxative? i can’t run to the bathroom every few minutes when i’m at work. this is possibly the only thing keeping me from wanting to attempt it.

and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD–please don’t spam me with diet pill sites. seriously. i’ll report you.

i walk everyday and i get exercise.

Does anyone know how harm full/helpful the Master Cleanse is? It’s basically Water, lemon juice, Organic Grade B Maple syrup, and Cayenne pepper or supplements! I know it sounds gross, and it’s not intended for wait-loss, but mainly a colon/intestinal/waste cleanse! My friend said she did it for 3 days (recommended around 10) and she said don’t do it more than five, so that it won’t ruin my metabolism!

I am in my second year of college, and while this semester I have been feeling unhealthy and gross, I got on the scale when I got home and I am 15 pounds more (20 on a bad, bad day)! So I need help! I am SO uncomfortable in my jeans, I want to swear sweats everyday.. (I feel like I have a tire around ear arm, each upper thigh, AND about 7 around my waiste!

I know what you’re going to say, diet and exercise! I am a full time student, and it’s hard to find time when I have to study a lot! Also-bikini season is coming SOON. I have ONLY 42 days until I leave for spring break! I HONESTLY want to lose the 15 pounds. I KNOW, I know that is drastic, but I HAVE TO! I will eat, I will eat healthy, but adjust my body to less calories, and by working out!

Along with telling me your opinion about the Lemonade fast, if you know can you please tell me some foods that you can eat plenty of and it’s healthy? I drive to class each and every day, and it’s around 40 minutes, so coming home for lunch is silly with gas prices and time! What are some things that I can just throw in baggie? I am completely cutting out carbs, I know people need some, but I’ve eated enough for my entire life!

Prune juice and colon cleanse?

I’ve heard about colon cleanses, especially the lemonade cleanse, and to be honest, I really do think its true. It’s just that, when I asked my doctor, he said he had never heard of colon cleanses.

My parents are skeptical and I’ve been really frustrated lately. I have a really slow bowel movement and when I DO go, I feel like there is still more to pass. I always feel full and bloated and its so uncomfortable.

I’ve been drinking prune juice but am not sure which one is more effective – hot or cold? Does it really help constipastion?. Does anyone have any opinions on the Master Cleanse and any suggestions to solve my problem, besides eating more fibre and fruits? =\

I’ve had 2 friends tell / ask me about…I don’t recall the names of either but it was essentially the same thing. One of them you gradually eat less starting from 3/4 of normal, to 1/2 of normal and then replace your meals w/ the powdered drink mix completely for 5 days (this was something you mixed w/ apple juice). The other one you just replaced your meals completely for 8 days w/ the powdered mix (a lemonade type thing) that had all the nutrients you needed for energy as well as cleansing your system. Both supposedly help you lose weight, digest faster / boost your metabolism after…
my questions are – has anyone tried it? is it safe/any side effects? does anyone know if this really works (helps you lose weight) and if so, how? which ones work best or is there a difference??

I would love to cleanse my colon! However drinking only lemonade for ten days doesn’t seem to be a safe way to do things (I live in Arizona and trust me, when it is 120 outside you don’t want to be running on E). Is there a safe and effective method for colon cleansing that includes some food?

Beyonce and Ellen Degeneres said they tried it and it worked. Beyonce said she did for 14 days and lost 20 lbs….I thought its a good idea as a colon cleanse and quick way to lose weight(in addition to changing my diet overall and exercise). Did you try it? Did it work? Is this safe?

I really want to try it for the new year. Thanx for your help!
BTW-I am obese and I really don’t think 10 days of lemonade and water will hurt me…lol…

Go lytely for colonoscopy?

I know that doctors prescribe this before a colonoscpy… I don’t have one but a doctor gave it to me when mentioning i wanted to do the lemonade cleanse (b/c I hear its good to clean the colon and helps for weight lose) has anyone ever lost weight when they took this prescription? I am about 25 lbs overweight and eat nothing but junk! Ready for a fresh start and a healthier living style

Questions about the lemonade colon cleanse?

Okay do you put sugar in the lemonade?or just lemonade what esle do you add ?how many bottles should you drink ?how long ?have you tried it ?did it work?

I am still currently nursing my 19 month old . i Was wondering if there is any safe ways cleaning toxins out of the body. If so what are some of the recipes .I heard of the lemonade and pepper cleanse but i don't know any of the recipes.I need to cleanse the toxins out of my body before I go Insane . by the way i would never take any type of pill or supplement while nursing i am talking about natural things that could help like drinking prune juice with karo syrup type of things. things that do not harm my child sense a breastfeeding mom and eat whatever she wants while nursing. because many women believe they have to only eat certain foods in order to provide their child with good nutrion which is a myth.

Family-Reunion NEED A FAST DIET QUICK!?

Ok, so I have 6 weeks to lose as much weight as I can…so this is going to be the inconventional way. I don't usually do this..but it's an emergency weight loss thing.

My idea is…1,200 calories a day…1-2 hours of working out per day. I will be getting colon therapy to flush my system and get me energized..and to kick start things..I'm going to do a lemon cleanse thing for 4 days. That's all. Just to flush and refresh me. I'll be drinking caffeine free teas and a special lemonade drink.

After that my idea is to cut out sugar COMPLETELY from my diet. And I need tips on realllllllllly healthily "gross" food. ;) Haha..basically..I'm thinking TONS of veggies…some fruits..the only grains I can have is plain oatmeal…no caffeine…only water or caffeine free tea without sugar….

But I remember my Dad , when he dieted, would just eat tuna out of the can..etc. I'm looking as these next 6 weeks as just eating food to survive. I don't care if it tastes good..I just want to be able to get enough that my body needs and stay within 1,200 calories. Tips?? or do I have it mostly down? Did I forget anything?

I'm 5'4 198…and looking to get down to 170ish in 6 weeks. I don't think it's healthy to go further than that…20-25 pounds is enough. They say to only lose up to 2 pounds a week..but I'm really heavy so losing more isn't going to kill me. Before, I would consume 1,600 a day and I lost 2.5 a week starting from 198 and got to 173..and I didn't workout at ALL..so I already know I can lost 2.5 pounds EASILY without even trying that hard…per week.
